Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were both in attendance during Monday night's Grammy Awards, and according to a report, they came face-to-face during the event.

Just months after their Beverly Hills reunion, Gomez and Bieber ran into one another backstage at the awards show, where she congratulated him for his Grammy win.

“Selena made sure to congratulate Justin on his big Grammy win,” an insider told Hollywood Life on Tuesday. “Even though they didn’t hang out at the show, she wanted to let him know how proud she was of him. She knew how important winning a Grammy was for him and how it had always been a dream of his. When she saw him she gave him a big hug and congratulated him.”

During Monday's show, Bieber won the award for Best Dance Recording, his first Grammy Award, for his song "Where Are U Now," which also features Skrillex and Diplo.

"I'm very happy for him. Honestly, so cool," Gomez told Entertainment Tonight on Monday. "They have such a cool energy amongst all of them to be able to create something like that. It's really great."

Also on Monday, Gomez's longtime friend, Taylor Swift, took home the award for Best Music Video for "Bad Blood."
