American Idol continued to narrow the field on Thursday night, leaving only 14 season 15 hopefuls standing.

Following the second night of the semifinals, the Fox series bid farewell to five contestants. Each singer was tasked with performing one solo and one duet, and those who failed to impress were sent packing.

Eliminations included Amelia Eisenhauer (paired with Kellie Pickler), C.J. Johnson (paired with David Cook), Adam Leashner (paired with Haley Reinhart), Kory Wheeler (paired with Haley Reinhart), and Shelbie Z (paired with Constantine Maroulis).

As you can see, several familiar members of the American Idol family rejoined the show for the duet section. Former finalists Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Pickler, and Reinhart joined winners Jordin Sparks and David Cook in an effort to aid the next generation of Idols.

Of those who survived the evening, their solos really made them stand out. Manny Torres performed Adventure of a Lifetime, while Jenn Blosil tried his hand at Sorry, Lee Jean sang Runaway, Trent Harmon belted out What Are You Listening To, Tristan McIntosh showed of his skills with Good Girl, Dalton Rapattoni took on Rebel Yell, and Olivia Rox performed Confidant.
