The Los Angeles Lakers (34-31) will look to continue its recent string of success when they take on the Atlanta Hawks (34-29) on Wednesday night at the Philips Arena.

Although the Lakers' Dwight Howard got plenty of practice on the free-throw line, leading the Lakers to another win on Tuesday over the Orlando Magic, the on-court situation hasn't panned out quite the same for the Hawks as of late.

Howard and Los Angeles seem to be going up against Atlanta at an opportunistic time, as they will go for their fifth straight victory while the Hawks continue to struggle.

Howard, who possessed a league-worst 47.8 free-throw shooting percentage entering the matchup against the Magic, made 25 of 39 (64.1 percent) from the foul line, tying his own NBA record for most attempts in a game.

"I think professionally it was really big for him. Coming into this environment, playing as well as he did, it's big for his confidence," Kobe Bryant told ESPN.
