The India squad will face off against Australia in the 3rd Test on Thursday morning.

The stage has seemingly been set perfectly for India to notch its largest-ever series victory over a controversy-ridden Australia side that's had to deal with off-field turmoil.

If the defeats in Hyderabad and Chennai weren't bad enough to deal with, the Aussie squad was dealt a huge blow with the expulsion of four of its key players, which included vice-captain Shane Watson for breach of discipline at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

If they can make it 3-0 in Mohali this time around, it will be a first for India against Australia, who defeated them 4-0 the last time they faced the Aussie side.

Interestingly enough, India has never been victorious in more than two Tests in a series against Australia.

Although India has been beaten on several occasions by Australia, the hosts' best efforts to date have been the 2-0 victories in both 1979-80 and in 2010-11.
