In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Pete Nowalk dished about what could become of the romantic moment shared between Wes (Alfred Enoch) and Laurel (Karla Souza) in the latest episode, 'It's a Trap,' of Season 2 of How to Get Away With Murder.

Wes and Laurel shared a kiss in a vulnerable moment -- Laurel was dealing with a massive fight with Frank (Charlie Weber) and Wes with the fact that Annalise knows who his mother is. In the interview Nowalk didn't give anything away but didn't rule out the possibility of Wes and Laurel actually taking things forward.

"Wes and Laurel have two options: to pretend like the kiss never happened- what happens in Ohio stays in Ohio - or they can keep kissing," Nowalk said. "Next week's episode will shed more light on their decision."

Nowalk also spoke about how Wes was a complicated character and there was much more to him than meets the eye.

"Wes has always appeared to be the show's puppy, but he's clearly shown he's not so innocent," Nowalk said. "So maybe being a killer has always been in his DNA. We all suppress childhood memories, especially the more traumatic ones."

'It's a Trap' aired on February 25 on ABC.
