Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Teairra Mari is back in the headlines following her ugly run-in with an Uber driver.

Teairra Mari Was Expected To Be A Bigger Star Than Rihanna

The singer turned reality star has turned down a plea deal that would have saved her from serving jail time in the assault case, Bossip reported Monday.

She is accused of attacking an Uber driver and stealing his phone charger. But she has maintained that she is innocent and thus is taking the risk of going to jail to avoid pleading guilty.

Fans might remember when Teairra Mari was taken into custody this summer after the Uber driver said that she stole the charger for his iPhone and also would not leave his car until police got to the scene.

She is facing assault and battery, petty theft and vandalism charges. She could spend six months behind bars and pay a fine of up to $1,000.

The prosecutors on the case said that Teairra would get three years of probation, 30 days of anger management and 15 days of community service if she entered into a guilty plea. She would also be ordered to pay restitution.

But Teairra is showing a different side. She shut down the plea deal via her lawyer Steven Szocs. He said that as the case goes on, more evidence will be revealed that will cause many to question the Uber driver’s character. Apparently he has been hit with four felony cases and is accused of using fake names when he was arrested several times in the past.

Teairra will have her day in court next month.
