Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., better known as Lil Wayne suffered multiple seizures on Tuesday while recording the music video for Nicki Minaj's new single, High School in Los Angeles. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital, according to TMZ.

He was released several hours later, on Wednesday morning.

Wayne's representative wrote in a statement, "Lil Wayne was successfully released from the hospital after being treated for a severe migraine and dehydration... He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love," according to Hollywood Life.

TMZ reported that the singer is "doing much better now."

Minaj, Lil Wayne's friend and collaborator had posted a photo of herself on Twitter hours before the incident.

Wayne had a similar health scare back in October when he had suffered two seizures, one which had caused his private plane to make an emergency landing.

Lil Wayne explained that after his last seizure, doctors had advised him to take medications and hydrate himself. But while he followed the first set of instructions, he said, "They said I gotta drink four water bottles a day, that's what the doctors say. I just came from the doctor. I ain't drinking four water bottles, but everything's good."
