There's been a lot of anticipation about the next Forrester heir's arrival, and now, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is going to give birth on The Bold and the Beautiful.

She's finally going to become a mom and fulfill one of her biggest dreams, which is also going to be a big cause for celebration within her family.

"The baby is coming! I'm in labor," she says in a preview clip for the Monday, March 7 episode.

Katie Has A Huge Setback

The news will be well-received by many, especially the baby's excited soon-to-be grandfather, Eric (John McCook), who will be eager to spread the news--even though Rick (Jacob Young) is going to be less than enthused about the situation.

"Ridge and Caroline are about to have their first born baby in our house," Eric says.

Rick will of course immediately point out that his bad history with his brother will likely keep him from ever being given a chance to form a bond with his soon-to-arrive nephew--and his less-than-positive reaction could result in a chiding from his father.

"Thomas is all about it. You'd think that he was having the baby," Rick says in the clip. "But me? Ridge is never going to let me around that child."

However, after his father lectures him, Rick will decide he's had enough of the conversation and will warn his father that Ridge is far from perfect, and one day, Eric will regret having so much blind faith in him recently.

"You may not see it now, but one day you're going to be in for a very rude awakening," Rick says in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
