In a recent spoiler Entertainment Weekly report, Law & Order: SVU's showrunner, Warren Leight, spoke about Fin's (Ice T) not being around when Olivia (Mariska Hargitay) was given the boot on the show.

It was a big deal on the series and the fact that Fin wasn't there must've surely left some fans pretty stunned. They must also be anticipating Fin's reaction to the whole affair.

"His character was on vacation," Leight said. "He'll be back in Part 2. He'll arrive to see Liv gone, Dodds in Liv's office and he says, 'What's going on?' Rollins says, 'I tried to call you last night. If you'd answer your phone.' He goes, 'When I'm not at work, I'm not at work.'"

In other news related to the show, Leight will not be carrying on as the helmer of the series. Rick Eid is replacing Warren Leight as the new showrunner of Law & Order: SVU.

Variety reported that Eid has been signed on as the showrunner for Law & Order: SVU. Dick Wolf, the executive producer of the show, spoke about Eid taking on the important role. "I'm extremely pleased that Rick had decided to rejoin the family and hope that he will be here for years to come," Wolf said.

Eid has worked on Law & Order: Trial by Jury and Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the past in collaboration with Wolf. He also worked on Conviction.

The next episode, "Unholiest Alliance," will air on March 23 on NBC.
