The Legends of Tomorrow Waverider might get a little shake up heading into season 2, but don't look for Rip Hunter to dump his whole crew over the hiatus.

Rumors have been flying since day one regarding the future of DC's Legends, and now that the series is locked in for a sophomore run, fans are looking for answers. Considering two members of the Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) hunting party have already bit the dust, what does the future hold for Stein (Victor Garber), Jax (Franz Drameh), Kendra (Ciara Renée), Sara (Caity Lotz), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Ray (Brandon Routh), and Rip (Arthur Darvill)?

According to TV Line's Michael Ausiello, the powers that be are planning on keeping the Legends exactly where they are.

"What we have here is a case of "The Telephone Game," wherein a producer recently said, "Our team for Season 2, if not in the [physical] makeup of the team, will be changed in the way that [the characters] will be different [people]" - meaning, Rip, Leonard, Sara et al will have been changed as people by their adventures during Season 1," Ausiello explained. "I have it on good authority that a wholesale cast change is not at all in the cards."

After all the time and effort writers have put in trying to make the disparate characters function as a team, it would be incredibly counterproductive to undo all that hard work. There are, however, still several empty seats on the Waverider. Who could possibly fill them? Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones), perhaps?

"I know that a couple of the writers are trying to push to get me back in there, because they really do like what happened with the episode," David-Jones told Comicbook.com in the wake of "Star City 2046." "don't know what they're going to come up with or what even is going to happen with Connor Hawke, but I know they've been talking about potential different outcomes of it because they are plan on cycling out some of the cast from the ship."

Who do you think should join the team? Is Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) really dead? Sound off in the poll below!

Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
