She'd started to struggle with the philosophy of kill or be killed, and now, Carol's (Melissa McBride) disappearing act from Alexandria could threaten the lives of everyone else in the group on The Walking Dead.

A search will go underway after Tobin (Jason Douglas) brings the letter Carol left him to Rick-and the fact that there's no real intel on when she fled will make the situation initially more challenging and dangerous.

"What time did she leave?" Rick asks in a preview clip for the Sunday, March 27 episode.

"I don't know," Tobin admits. "Sometime in the night. I never heard her go."

Then as the search commences, Darryl (Norman Reedus) will let his emotions get the best of him as he tries to track down his best friend-and he will take off unexpectedly, causing everyone even more worry as well.

"What the hell is he doing? Darryl's going to get himself killed," Glenn (Steven Yuen) says.

Then, as more members of the community start to venture out in a hunt for their friends, the things they discover could prove to be more deadly-and a bigger sign of the trouble they could be facing outside their walls.

Not only will Darryl's motorcycle turn up abandoned under some brush, but a bloody spear dripping onto the road will be an ominous sign of the trouble that could be threatening them all. And what no one actually realizes is that there is a genuine danger.

They had agreed with the Hilltop that they would eliminate the threat of Negan and the Saviors in exchange for an influx of food, and after slaughtering nearly everyone at one compound, and successfully killing the members of the group who were holding Carol and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) hostage, they believed they had completed the mission after Primo said he was Negan and Rick shot him point blank. However, what they didn't know was that they hadn't even scratched the surface as far as Negan was concerned-and the man himself is still very much alive and waiting to meet with them all.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
