Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Update to Release on 5 Devices (VIDEO)
The Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie update is set to be rolled out on only five currently available devices, according to new reports.
It is unclear which five devices the update will be made available on, but according to SamMobile Google’s plan for the Android 5.0 update will only hit a limited number of devices.
The Galaxy S4, S3, S2, Galaxy Note 8 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Galaxy Note 2, and the Galaxy Note 10.1 have been touted to receive the Android 5.0 update at some point, according to Unwiredview.
In addition other devices that have been rumored to be in line for the Android 4.2 update are: the Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S2, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Grand Duos, Galaxy Young, Galaxy Young Duos, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Premier, Galaxy Express, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam and Galaxy S Advance.
Rumors point to a May update for the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie unveiling, as that is when the Google I/O is scheduled to take place. The conference will take place from May 15 through 17 in San Francisco at the Moscone Center West.
Last year the company introduced the Google Nexus 7 tablet, as well as the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS at the event. This year the company is expected to make a number of big unveilings, in particular the Nexus 7 Android tablet could land and the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie operating system should be unveiled to the world.
