It's finally time for Person of Interest's Reese and Finch to get the machine back online.

After an exhaustingly long hiatus, Finch (Michael Emerson) and his team will return to CBS on May 3. The series' final run will kick off in the wake of the machine's destruction, and "B.S.O.D" will see Harold attempt to resurrect his life's greatest achievement.

"Reese and Finch attempt to rescue the Machine's source code before it deteriorates beyond repair," CBS teased. "Also, Root fights for her life against an onslaught of Samaritan's agents and Fusco is faced with hard questions following the deaths of Dominic and Elias."

While Shaw (Sarah Shahi) remains in the clutches of the enemy, Root (Amy Acker) and Finch will butt heads over the future of the machine. While the latter will want to restore the computer to its original form, Root will have a few adjustments in mind.

"What's great fun about the early episodes is watching the two of them argue about, if they can adjust The Machine's secret formula, should they?" executive producer Jonah Nolan said, according to TV Line. "Given that the stakes are higher and time is running out for them, what are the ethics in changing your strategy?"

Sadly, Person of Interest's 13-episode season will be its last.

"We're extremely excited to be able share this final season with the fans," executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Greg Plageman told IGN back in March. "This subversive little paranoia-inducing cyberpunk-thriller is for you and would not have been possible without your support...We can't wait for you to experience this thrilling and final chapter."
