The producers of Live With Kelly and Michael remain committed to Kelly Ripa as the show is headed toward a transitional period.

While some may have thought Ripa's extended absence from Live would put a strain on her relationship with the show's staff, they remain committed to each other.

"We are committed to 'Live...', its fantastic production team, and to Kelly Ripa," a Disney-ABC Television spokesperson said in a statement (according to The Hollywood Reporter). "We believe the show has a great future. End of story."

"I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information," Ripa wrote recently in an email to staff, according to Deadline. "Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning."

There has been turmoil behind the scenes at Live With Kelly and Michael after it was announced Tuesday that Michael Strahan was exiting the show in favor of Good Morning America. Multiple reports alleged that Ripa was not happy with the news.

A source told CNN that "she is beyond angry. Beyond."

"Kelly sees this as the ultimate betrayal," a different source told PageSix, while another stated, "There's been a total Ripa meltdown."

Ripa is slated to return to Live With Kelly and Michael on Tuesday. She has not been on the show since the episode before Strahan's announcement.

"I'm leaving this show and I'm going over to GMA full time, which is going to happen in September," Strahan told the Live audience on Wednesday. "I do want to say to all of our viewers out there and to everybody who has watched this show over the last four years... thank you, guys. I can't ask for better fans... and you guys have been absolutely amazing. On top of that I've worked with an incredible staff here and I'm always available to guest co-host if I get a call because I consider myself a part of this family forever."
