If NCIS: Los Angeles' Sam Hanna has to go to war to save his son, so be it.

Agent Hanna (LL Cool J) and his fellow OSP colleagues aren't known for their ability to follow orders in times of personal crisis, and everyone from Callen (Chris O'Donnell) to Eric (Barrett Foa) will be ready to break a few rules when Tahir Khaled puts Aiden's (Tye White) life on the line in the season 7 finale.

"In [Talion], Sam Hanna's son, Aiden Hanna, is taking hostage," LL Cool J revealed in a featurette.

After Aiden sends his father an emergency text from his military school in San Francisco, Hetty's (Linda Hunt) team is ready to zip up the coast.

"This is probably one of the biggest challenges we've ever seen out team face," the actor explained. "Me and my team have to go to war to make it happen, and we can save the day [but] it's easier said than done."

Assistant Director Granger (Miguel Ferrer) will immediately contact the Bay Area FBI to scope out the situation, but Sam will recall the Bureau's agents. All communication with the academy is blocked, and keeping the situation on the down low will give NCIS the element of surprise.

"Against the rules that Hetty and Granger have laid out, they decide to do a rescue mission to take him back," Eric Christian Olsen (Deeks) teased.

While Sam and Callen are willing to handle the mission on their own, Deeks and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will gear up beside them. Back in Los Angeles, Eric and Nell (Renee Felice Smith) will keep a wary eye on their movements as the episode plays out in real time.

"I think Sam and Callen think they're going to go in on their own and try to solve this, [but] when any character on this team needs help, even without asking, we're there," Ruah told CBS.
