Blindspot Mayfair looks like she's seen a ghost. In fact, as far as the Assistant Director is concerned, that's exactly what happened.

Allegedly deceased for the past five year, Sofia popped back into Mayfair's (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) life - and her car - as "One Begets Technique" came to a close. As the FBI continues to piece together Jane's (Jaimie Alexander) cloudy past (including the fictional aspects), Bethany will have to uncover the truth behind her lover's fake suicide.

"It's awful," Jean-Baptiste told Entertainment Weekly. "It's betrayal on a level that is so, so, so deep."

Sofia has opened up some old wounds, but Mayfair will quickly attempt to stitch herself back up with the help of a new romance.

"Mayfair agreeing to go out for a date with this [other] woman is almost on the back of that; it's almost a rebound thing, like [she's] telling herself, 'I can do this. I deserve to be happy and I deserve to have somebody who is good to me,'" the actress teased.

Blindspot won't leave viewers hanging, either. Sofia's return will play a major role in this Monday's episode, "In the Comet of Us."

"When a school shooting breaks out during the investigation of a tattoo, the team splits up to take down the shooter," NBC teased. "Mayfair copes with some issues from her past."

Just two weeks later, Mayfair find herself at the center of an entirely different set of interpersonal conflicts during "Whose Uneasy Route."

"The FBI is locked down when criminal hackers infiltrate the building, trapping the team inside SIOC," the network revealed. "As they fight their way out, the close quarters force Mayfair, Zapata (Audrey Esparza), Reade (Rob Brown), and Sarah (guest star Jordana Spiro) to confront personal conflicts."
