iPhone5 vs iPhone 5s/6 Rumored Specs Comparison: Which Apple Handset is Right for You?
The iPhone 5S/6 is awaiting a summer unveiling and although it is still months away from Apple's next generation smartphone being released, let's compare the anticipated device with its predecessor.
Apple's current iPhone 5 has a four inch display with a screen resolution of 1136 and 640. It comes with an 8 megapixel camera, with a 1.3 megapixel front camera. Using iPhone 5 you can talk for up to 8 hours on 3G. Internet usage works for up to 8 hours on LTE and up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi. It also features an A6 Processor and 1GB of RAM.
The iPhone 5S / 6 is rumored to have much of the same look and feel to its predecessor, but will have higher specs. It is slated to come with an even bigger display, and have an upgraded processor chip possibly faster than the A6X or even a new A7 chip. The A7 chip is based on four cores clocked at 1.2 GHz, being helped by the PowerVR GPU with quad-core graphics, which is also fitted on the A6X chip inside the current iPad 4. It is also rumored to come with a 128GB version.
The iPhone 6 is rumored to pack a Sharp IGZO (Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide) screen that requires less power and is slimmer than that which the iPhone 5 has. The Sharp IGZO technology was displayed at The International Consumer Electronics Show in January 2013. The iOS7 will reportedly be revealed soon and might make an appearance on Apple's next iPhone.
One innovative feature the new iPhone is rumored to possess is a technology dubbed Synchronized, Interactive Augmented Reality (AR) Displays for iDevices. The system, which Apple reported invented, allows users to make 3D video calls and 3D video conferencing as a method of information sharing with a number of devices through the use of a Share button.
