The republican Convention will have one less candidate to choose from. Ted Cruz has officially dropped out of the 2016 presidential race.

Tuesday's Indiana primary put the final nail in the Cruz/Fiorina campaign. Trump ran away with 51 delegates, leaving Cruz and John Kasich with none.

"We left it all on the field in Indiana. We gave it everything we've got but the voters chose another path," Cruz said, according to CNN. "So with a heavy heart but with boundless optimism for the long-term future of our nation, we are suspending our campaign."

Voters quickly took to Twitter to react to the latest development, wavering between joy at Cruz's departure and fear that there is now nothing standing between Trump and the Republican nomination. Some determined Cruz supporters expressed sadness.
