Donald Trump will enter the Republican National Convention completely uncontested. John Kasich has officially dropped out the 2016 presidential race.

Less than 24 hours after Ted Cruz conceded defeat, the last GOP holdout left the campaigned trail. Tuesday's Indian primaries put the Ohio governor in last place, causing Kasich to cut and run.

"I have always said that the Lord has a purpose for me as he has for everyone," read Kasich's concession speech, according to CNN. "And as I suspend my campaign today, I have renewed faith, deeper faith, that the Lord will show me the way forward, and fulfill the purpose of my life."

Voters quickly took to Twitter to react to the latest development, some expressing mild horror that Trump will actually take up a spot on the November ballot. Trump supports, meanwhile, were over the moon.
