The entire cast of HBO's The Leftovers (minus one) will be returning for the third and final season.

While The Leftovers is moving to Australia, both on and offscreen, for season 3, the cast will largely remain the same.

There is a new TVLine report that reveals the cast members returning for the upcoming final season, including Justin Theroux (who plays Kevin), Carrie Coon (Nora), Amy Brenneman (Laurie), Christopher Eccleston (Matt), Liv Tyler (Meg), Margaret Qualley (Jill), Chris Zylka (Tom) and Janel Moloney (Mary), plus season 2 additions Regina King (Erika), Kevin Carroll (John), Jovan Adepo (Michael) and Jasmin Savoy-Brown (Evie)

Also, Scott Glenn, who plays Kevin's father, Kevin Garvey, Sr., is being bumped up to series regular status after having a recurring role in the first two seasons. Savoy-Brown's status has been upgraded as well.

The only notable person not returning as a regular is Ann Dowd, who played Patti in the first two seasons. Of course, Patti died in season 1 but she essentially returned in season 2 to haunt Kevin. Kevin was ultimately able to rid himself of Patti during the episode "International Assassin," but as TVLine speculates, it's possible that she could return again in some form in season 3.

The Leftovers showrunner Damon Lindelof spoke with GoldDerby recently about what's ahead for the final season.

"We started thinking a lot about apocalyptic thinking, and how people are going to behave if they think the world is going to end," he explained. "That 'Y2K' idea, where you're kind of laughing and joking about it like it's not really going to happen, but by December 28th, you walk into the grocery store and all the water bottles are gone and you start to go 'S-, does everyone else know something that I don't know,' so I guess what I can say to you is that thematically, if the audience knows that the show is ending, there's actually an opportunity for us to play with the idea that the world is going to end. I think there's a way to do the apocalypse that we haven't quite seen before."

The Leftovers season 3 does not have a set premiere date on HBO.
