Finn Wittrock says he isn't aware if he's returning for season 6 of American Horror Story, though he did tease a few possible details regarding the season's overall feeling.

Wittrock, who played two roles in Hotel, the show's most recent season, recently spoke about the upcoming sixth season and how it might be "lighter" than usual.

"There's a little film stuff happening so it might be tough schedule wise, but yeah, I definitely want to do it," Wittrock told TheWrap, of returning for season 6. "I have heard it is going to be a little tighter - there were so many story lines in the last one and it was so big and epic, I have a feeling it might be a little more claustrophobic. A smaller cast."

Hotel was indeed a bulky season with numerous characters coming in and out of focus throughout. Wittrock's comments about a smaller cast suggests a return to the more intimate feeling of something like Murder House, which only had six principal cast members.

"I've talked about doing a few episodes, but nothing has been set in stone," Wittrock revealed. "I think they literally keep us in the dark so we can't spill the beans even if we wanted to. I've heard lots of different rumors about it, but even last year, I didn't know about 'Hotel' until a few months before we started. I know that they are actively writing it right now - they are still figuring out what to do."

Showrunner Ryan Murphy and company have waited longer than usual to reveal the concept for season 6. The concept for the next season is typically announced in March or April, but considering it's almost June and there still hasn't been an announcement, it's possible they want to shroud the upcoming season in mystery. It's also possible they simply haven't worked out the concept yet. Either way, fans are desperate for any morsel of information about the upcoming season.

American Horror Story season 6 airs this fall on FX.
