Judge Judy isn't getting off the bench yet.

Former New York state judge Judy Sheindlin signed on for an additional two years on her television show, CBS Television Distribution announced on Monday.

"We are grateful to Judy for her continued unparalleled ratings and her one-of-a-kind style. She is truly the Queen of Daytime and we couldn't be happier that she will continue her trademark sense of justice and humor with CTD and her stellar station line up through 2017," CBS Global Distribution CEO Armando Nunez said in a statement.

One of the top daytime TV shows, Judge Judy is now in its 17th season and viewed by roughly 10 million people each episode, according to ABC News. The show has spent 860 consecutive weeks - since its debut on Sept. 16, 1996 - as the highest-rated, half-hour syndicated court show on TV.

The judge's current contract runs through 2015 and the new deal will extend Sheindlin through 2017, giving her 21 years on the air. Sheindlin, who is 70, appears to be going strong and she made no statements indicating that she plans to retire.

This comes after a recent announcement that Judge Joe Brown, the second highest-rated court show in television syndication after Judge Judy, has been canceled by CBS Television Distribution.
