The Good Wife has attached Mayor Bloomberg to a guest spot on its Season 4 finale, which is titled What's In The Box?

The CBS network gave the following description for the highly anticipated episode:

"On the night of Peter's gubernatorial election, Alicia, Will and Diane race to a series of emergency court proceedings when Zach believes he's witnessed vote tampering. Meanwhile, an unlikely source offers Cary aid to start his own firm, while the conflicted feelings Alicia has in her personal and professional lives come to a head."

According to the Huffington Post, the popular TV drama will feature the New York mayor playing the part of himself, though no further details were given.

Other notable guest stars that will be in the star-studded finale will be Martha Pilmpton, Ana Gasteyer, Denis O'Hare, Dylan Baker, T.R. Knight as well as Estelle Parsons.

The Bloomberg casting isn't the first instance of a real-life politician coming aboard The Good Wife, as Donna Brazile had already made two appearances on the program.

However, Mayor Bloomberg has already played parts in several other scripted TV series, which include Curb Your Enthusiasm, Gossip Girl, and Law & Order.

The season 4 finale of CBS' The Good Wife is set to air on Sunday, April 28 at 9 p.m. EDT. Its promo trailer can be viewed below.
