Grab you Z whacker and clear out a spot on the DVR, Z Nation fans. Season 3 kick off the next round of undead mayhem with its very own movie!

The Syfy series will return to screens this September, but, before we reunite with Murphy (Keith Allan) and the Operation Bitemark gang, viewers will first get to meet up with a batch of fresh faces. 

"Season three will start with a movie that will air a few days before the season picks up from where we left off," Allan explained on Twitter, adding that the extra dose of Z Nation "will introduce characters that are coming up."

So, who are these post-apocalyptic newbies? Executive producer Karl Schaefer will add at least three new characters to the mix this fall:

Fox

A zombie outbreak is a outlaw's playground, and, over the last two years, Z Nation has invited plently of unsavory brigands to upend their teeter totter. Fox will be one such devious addition. 

"[We have] a new villain," Russell Hodgkinson (Doc) teased at Lexington Comic Con. "His name is Fox but we don't know [who will play him] yet."

"The Man"

Played by Joseph Gatt, this character is a big question mark. Hero? Villain? Nemisis of every flow power hippie west of the Mississippi? We don't know, but we're dying to find out.

Citizen Z's Mystery Acquaintance

Citizen Z (DJ Qualls) made his way out into the open during season 2, leaving Northern Lights in the dust. After being alone for so long, he might find that the shadowy figure from the finale could become his link back to civilization. While Schaefer hasn't reveal the characters name, he did drop a few teasers while speaking with TV Insider.

"I'll just say [the person is] a she," Karl Schaefer revealed. "It's an Eskimo girl, and the story's going to take a turn that not many people will be expecting at all.
