Fans of 60 Days In have only just finished watching Zac, Robert, Isaiah, Jeff, Barbra, Tami and Maryum finish their undercover stints at Clark County Correctional, but they won't have to wait long to see what happened when a second batch of new inmates went in and continued investigating for Sheriff Jamey Noel.

Season two of the series, which had been given the green light and was already filmed before the first season even aired, will premiere on A&E on August 18th, and though many of the original volunteers will no longer have any involvement with the jail or the project, one will now find themselves on the other side of things as one of their loved ones now goes undercover as well.

In a press release detailing what will happen in the show's second season, A&E revealed that Zac's wife, Ashleigh, is one of the eight new participants in the new season. She is joined by an as of yet unidentified former corrections officer, mother of an incarcerated child, bounty hunter, criminal justice student, a young lawyer, and two others. Their identities, as well as their reasons which led to their deciding to be a part of the program, will be revealed in a special one week before the season two premiere, called 60 Days In: Meet the Participants, airing at 10 p.m. on August 11.

The new participants will once again be at Clark County Correctional, giving feedback to Sheriff Jamey and Captain Scotty Maples.

The show, which reached massive success as cable's number one unscripted series and the highest rated show on A&E overall, has not yet been announced to receive a third season. Due to the need for intense secrecy of the project, if a third season is indeed ordered, it will likely take place in a new prison with a new cast of volunteers and law enforcement officials who are the only ones that know who they really are.

60 Days In returns to A&E on August 18 at 9 p.m..
