Johnny Manziel is being sued for more than $40,000 after he allegedly trashed a Los Angeles home he rented earlier this year.

According to a new report, Nicholas Goodwin, the owner of the home, claims Manziel insisted he would keep things low key when he rented the Hollywood Hills mansion, but instead, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback threw "drug-fueled ragers" and destroyed thousands of dollars in property.

"The man behind the suit is Nicholas Goodwin -- who says he was approached by a man who called himself 'Travis' about renting the 5,000 square foot pad back in April. When 'Travis' showed up to the home, Nick recognized it was really Johnny Manziel," TMZ reported on Friday.

As Goodwin revealed in the suit, Manziel approached him in hopes of renting his home for two nights and even agreed to pay a substantial fine if more than 15 people were discovered to be in the home at once. However, Manziel reportedly went back on the agreement and during his time at the residence, he had guests in the home who "were consuming drugs and alcohol on the property."

During Manziel's stay, Goodwin claimed things got so out of control that police were called. Later, Goodwin reportedly had to call for "hazardous material clean up" to pick up the "narcotics" that were left behind.

"Despite Mr. Manziel's assurances to my client that the rental was to be used strictly for his own personal and private use, surveillance footage shows that Mr. Manziel threw large parties on both nights, causing extensive damage to the subject property," a letter sent by Goodwin's lawyer stated, via Daily Mail. "Evidence suggests that Mr. Manziel and his guests were consuming drugs and alcohol on the property, and that they caused a disturbance to the neighborhood which resulted in the Los Angeles Police Department being summoned to the property on the morning of April. 6. Additionally, although Mr. Manziel had agreed to a check-out time of 12:00pm, he was seemingly incapacitated at that time and did not surrender possession of the property until late that evening."

In his suit, Goodwin is demanding more than $40,000, which includes a $10,000 "party penalty" and thousands in damages for items, including "expensive rugs, broken glasses, tables, bathroom doors, statues, couches and more."
