Remember how the Pretty Little Liars are poised to make the biggest mistake of their young lives? Well, you won't have to wait long to find out what that is.

The Liars will return to Freeform on June 21, and by episode 3 they will be in more trouble than ever before. Titled "The Talented Mr. Rollins," the July 5 episode will put a major crimp in Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), and (presumably) Hanna's (Ashley Benson) plans.

"Still reeling from the trauma of Hanna's abduction and dark fate, the Liars must shift their focus to another one of their own," Freeform teased. "In order to protect Alison (Sasha Pieterse) from Uber A's threats, the PLLs snap into action at a chance to rescue her from the hospital. However, in doing so, they make a deadly mistake that changes everything."

Could this have to do with the grave our troubled protagonists appear to be digging in the season 7 promo (see video below)? Could this really be the massive hiccup showrunner Marlene King previewed earlier this year?

"The PLL's will make their biggest mistake of their lives, and Uber A is going to use it to fuel A's final game," King told Hollywood Life.

Perhaps this deadly/murderous encounter will be fueled by the Liars' discovery that the esteemed Dr. Rollins (Huw Collins) is not who he says he is. That's currently a fact on Mary Drake (Andrea Parker) seems to know, but maybe a little good old fashioned snooping will furnish the PLLs with the answers they need.

"You will find out in the next few episodes who you can trust, who you can't trust and why everybody is doing what they're doing," King told Variety.
