Melissa Gorga is opening up about The Real Housewives of New Jersey season seven.

Ahead of next month's premiere, Gorga said the new season, which includes two new housewives, was "old school."

"I think season 7 is going to be very, like, new, very fresh," Gorga said during an interview Franco Porporino Jr. on his AM970 The Answer radio show, Brunching With Franco, via Us Weekly. "I think that it's going to give you a little bit of that old school vibe of the 'Housewives' that everyone loved from seasons 3 [and] 4. I think people were missing that, and so we're bringing it back."

Also coming back is Gorga's sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, who spent 11 months behind bars before her release from prison earlier this year.

"It was just a really hard year to get through, but thank God, she's so strong, so everyone got through it," Gorga said. "You're going to see a lot of that unfold when she gets home on the 'Housewives.' It was definitely a hard time, of course."

Creator Andy Cohen also recently spoke of the new season, claiming fans are in for an emotional first episode of season seven, which includes Giudice's homecoming.

"I've seen it three or four times, and I wept every time." Cohen said of the show's first episode during an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. "It's the realest, most raw moment that I've seen. When you see these four girls jump in her arms, it's like nothing that I've seen."

"You do see a different Teresa, and you do see how this year away really changed her," Cohen continued. "It's interesting to see how the terrain lays out between her and her sister-in-law, who have never gotten along, and she and her ex-best friend of 12 years, Jaclyn, those are the two relationships to watch, and you'll be surprised by how they turn out."
