Fans of 2015's runaway hit One Punch Man might finally get some concrete updates about the anime's upcoming second season, as the upcoming Anime Expo 2016, which is set to be held on July 2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, would feature appearances from several notable personalities from the extremely popular series' production.

As confirmed by the official website of Anime Expo 2016, a special talk show featuring One Punch Man Animation Director Shingo Natsume and Voice Actor Makoto Furukawa, who voices Saitama, would be held in the event. Of course, with the anime's animation director and the main character's voice actor as guests, it would not be a surprise if details about One Punch Man Season 2 would finally be divulged to the public.

After all, the anime community has been clamoring for a follow-up season ever since the first season wrapped up last December. If any, announcing the progress of Season 2 would be a pretty strategic move for the One Punch Man anime's producers, since the first season was concluded just six months ago.

Apart from the talk show, a live performance by JAM Project, the Japanese group who performed The Hero, One Punch Man's opening theme, would also be featured in Anime Expo 2016.

Considering the hype surrounding One Punch Man, the second season of the anime could not come sooner. After all, the next season of the anime is expected to only run for 12 episodes; thus, the events of the manga so far, which includes the introduction of Garou and the Hero Hunter arc, should provide the second season with enough material to warrant an entire run.

As could be seen in the manga so far, however, the next season of One Punch Man would most probably be far more intense than the first, with Saitama facing off with a man that is, in a lot of ways, very much like himself. Plus, the exploits of Garou, as he deliberately hunts down the series' most powerful heroes, are definitely something to look forward to.

For now, however, fans of One Punch Man should mark July 2 on their calendars. It might very well be the date when Season 2's release date would be revealed.
