Gleeks can celebrate now that Fox has announced it's decision to renew the musical hit Glee for not one, but two seasons.

The dramedy that premiered in 2009 is now on course to see a fifth and six season, made possible by it's average 8.7 million viewers, reports E!.

"Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture," Kevin Reilly, president of Fox, said according to E!. "Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show-and I'm absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons."

While season three saw the graduation of several main characters from the shows main high school location, season four has split its time between McKinley and New York City. With more characters completing their secondary education this season, co-creator Ryan Murphy discusses the direction the upcoming seasons will take.

"Not everybody will go to New York, because I think that's really unrealistic," Murphy said according to The Hollywood Reporter. "I really like this season, and I liked going back and forth, but I would really like at one point for a huge chunk of them to stay in one location, which we'll probably do next year. We just started to talk about that."

The season finale airs on May 9.
