Michael Strahan has tried to not let the rampant tabloid headlines regarding his time on Live bother him.

Shortly after it was announced that Strahan was leaving Live With Kelly and Michael, there were several stories in the press about co-host Kelly Ripa being blindsided by the news, rumors of tension between the co-hosts and all sorts of other drama. But with those headlines dying down nowadays, Strahan is happy to just live and let live.

"You know what? I've learned to have fun. Life is not that serious," Strahan told E! News, when asked about what he's learned over the past few months.

Strahan proceeded to discussion his attitude towards life and how he chooses to find happiness.

"We have so many things that happen that make you realize how precious life is, how you'd better enjoy every day and that your attitude is-you can determine what your attitude is," he explained. "You wake up, you make yourself happy, you make yourself whatever you want it to be, and that's how I look at it every day that I wake up and that's been more than in the last few months. That's just the way I live my life."

Now, Strahan is getting ready for his full-time gig on ABC's Good Morning America in September.

"Can't wait to be there full-time," he said of his upcoming hosting job. "Great, great family to work with over there. I'm looking forward to it."

Strahan previously admitted on Chelsea Handler's Netflix talk show that he hadn't gotten the opportunity to watch Live since he left the show. He added, "I really haven't missed it, but I loved it. Don't get me wrong. I loved it. When you get a break, sometimes you kind of go, 'Wow, I kind of needed it.' I needed a break."

Meanwhile, Ripa is still hosting Live alongside a rotating selection of guest co-hosts. A permanent co-host has not yet been determined, though producers are expected to select one by September.
