Dark Matter's Raza is the galaxy's home for misfit toys, and Nyx will earn her place amongst the criminals and runaways as her backstory comes tumbling out.

The escape from Hyperion-8 gifted the Raza crew with two new additions, who, despite brining some vital skills to the ship, both came saddled with their own dark pasts. While Devon's (Shaun Sipos) drug habit is easy to pinpoint, the truth behind Nyx's (Melanie Liburd) prognostications and kick-ass fight skills is a little more complicated.

Get ready to learn the truth during Friday's episode 6, "We Should Have Seen This Coming."

"The only thing I can tell you she is not alone. She's not a one-off in her abilities," executive producer Jay Firestone told EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con. "She comes from a certain type, so we're going to learn a bit about how she's the more rebellious of her group, lets put it that way."

Nyx will propose an op to get the Dark Matter team a little fast cash, but Two (Melissa O'Neil) and co. will quickly discover the mission is about more than scoring a little green. Nyx has her own personal agenda.

"Priority number one for them is to find out what the hell is mysterious key in their possession and why Reynaud (Inga Cadranel) wants it so badly. They're going to need to find out about her and they're going to end up calling on an unlikely ally in Tabor Calcheck, played by David Hewlett, who is going to end up on the ship and has some great scenes with the Android," series creator Joseph Mallozzi promised, according to TV Junkies. "Before that we're going to find out what the hell is up with Nyx. We're going to get her story, and then episode six and seven will end in shocking fashion."
