Rebecca Martinson Email Leads To Resignation as Sorority Leader After Violent Letter Goes Viral [PHOTO]
Sorority girl Rebecca Martinson was force to resign as her house’s chairperson after she sent an email to her sisters at the University of Maryland that the sorority officials have deemed inappropriate.
Martinson, of the Delta Gamma sorority on campus, sent a passionately violent email to her sorority sisters that went public on April 18 and forced her out of her position as her campus’ Greek community leader, Hollywood Life reported on Friday.
Her email, which included strong word usage, stated that her sisters were not doing well enough in the Greek community, that their lack of effort was bringing a bad name to Delta Gamma, and she was not going to tolerate it anymore:
"I do not give a flying f**k, and Sigma Nu does not give a flying f**k, about how much you f**king love to talk to your sisters. You have 361 days out of the f**king year to talk to sisters, and this week is NOT, I f**king repeat NOT ONE OF THEM," she wrote in the email, based on the report.
The Delta Gamma’s Facebook page announced Rebecca’s resignation: ”Delta Gamma has accepted the resignation of one of its members whose email relating to a social event has been widely distributed and publicized… As all reasonable people can agree, this is an email that should never have been sent by its author. Period.”
