There's nothing in this world that can keep Supernatural's Sam and Dean apart for long, not even the British Men of Letters.

Purgatory and hell have proved to be the Winchesters' stumbling blocks, but with both boys firmly planted in the world of the living, it won't take long for the brothers to reunite after the events of the season 11 finale. Shot and kidnapped by Lady Toni Bevell (Elizabeth Blackmore), Sam (Jared Padalecki) will certainly be in for a surprise when his allegedly dead brother launches a rescue mission.

Like season 10, you can expect to see the boys back together before the end of October.

"I think Sam and Dean will be back together in the Impala within the first two to three episodes," showrunner Andrew Dabb told EnStars at San Diego Comic-Con.

In line with the EP's statements, Padalecki and Jensen Ackles (Dean) were spotted filming together for episode 3, Impala and all.

The premiere battle to reunite the Winchester family will play directly into the theme of season 12.

"I would say the theme for this season is, in some ways, 'make it personal,'" Dabb explained. "Last season there was the Darkness, the apocalypse, this big world-shaking event. This season we want to keep the stakes high [and] the danger high. The things that are going to be in danger are things and people that are very important to Sam and Dean."

After all, what's more personal than family?

Find out what the future holds for Sam, Dean, Castiel (Misha Collins), and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) when Supernatural returns to The CW on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET. For those setting up their DVRs, make note of the series' new Thursday night slot.
