His loved ones are now left devastated by news that Adam is dead after an explosion at the safehouse he was hiding in, and now, as they try to figure out who could have done this, Victor (Eric Braden) will learn just who the culprit was on The Young and the Restless.

Victor will initially be the prime suspect who Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) suspect because he was the only other person who knew about the safe house and where Adam was hiding out, but after confronting his father about killing his son, Nick realized Victor didn't commit the murder. But when news comes through that Adam's DNA was found at the scene and he is genuinely believed to have died in the explosion, he will be devastated-and then angered when Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) sneaks up on him.

"You vicious little.." Victor says to her in a preview clip for the Monday, September 5 episode.

"Save it," she interrupts. "You're going to want to hear this."

Chloe will inform Victor that Chelsea was quickly arrested after her return to the penthouse, and that she knows it won't take long for Chelsea to share her suspicions about what happened with Paul (Doug Davidson) and Dylan (Steve Burton), and that the devastated new widow will quickly implicate Victor in not only Adam's escape from prison by providing the safe house, but his murder as well.

Victor will be outraged when he learns that Chloe is actually taunting him, and will fire back by telling her she knows the truth, and when Chloe asks how she could possibly know he didn't set Adam up to die, he will inform her he knows she's the one who killed him.

Chloe was in fact the one who tracked Adam down and got him alone when Chelsea went to take care of Connor, and she shot him with a dart gun before the explosion occurred. No one else has any idea just yet that she was the one who did it, and that she never forgave Adam despite her insistence she did, and used the secret passageway in Chelsea's closet to do what she did undetected.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
