He surprised his parents by coming home to L.A. and revealing he would be back for a while thanks to a break at school, but R.J. (Anthony Turpel) will waste no time trying to interfere after learning about Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) plans to marry Bill (Don Diamont) and not Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) on The Bold and the Beautiful.

He was stunned when his mother told him who she was going to marry, and hurt that his family once again wasn't going to be together, and he will now seek out Bill to discuss the plans with him, and when Bill tries to assure the teen that he genuinely cares about and loves his mother, R.J. will snap back at him about his very recently being married to Brooke's sister, Katie (Heather Tom), and will remind him he has a child with her, while Brooke has a child with Ridge.

"I want you to know how much I care about your mom," Bill says in a preview clip for the Friday, September 16 episode.

"Yeah? How could you? You have a son with her sister," R.J. replies.

R.J.'s continued resistance could lead to his also learning that while the marriage is something Bill and Brooke both seem to actually want because they do love one another, there is another practical purpose to it, at least on Brooke's end. Bill may be forced to divulge that the only way R.J.'s father can get his shares in Forrester and use them to remove Eric (John McCook) as CEO and get Quinn (Rena Sofer) out of the company, is to let Brooke marry Bill, since it is the only way he will hand over the shares. And when R.J. potentially expresses rage over the situation, Bill will try to explain why he is doing things this way, and why he feels obligated to help in the weirdly self-serving way that he is.

"I created a child with the psychopath," he says, referring to Quinn, in the clip. "Quinn is in their lives because of me."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
