Porsha Stewart denied claims that she used her divorce battle with Kordell Stewart as a publicity stunt.

Rumors centered on the couple having a fake divorce after a source close to the Real Housewives of Atlanta's production staff said Kordell filed for divorce to increase Porsha's chances of being renewed for another season of the Bravo show. The source told MediaTakeout, in a report published Tuesday, "they figured if they created a FAKE DIVORCE, like NeNe did - it would be enough drama for them to be asked back,"

However, Porsha's representatives said that the reality star is in a real-life divorce battle with Kordell.

"She would never bring something like this on herself, especially with them having a child in the house. She wishes things could have been different but that simply is not possible," Porsha's rep said this week.

Another source said: "Kordell really loves Porsha and it got to be too much for them...It wasn't something planned for the show."

Kordell reportedly shot down rumors that he is gay this week, and posted messages on his Twitter account proving why he is a man.

"Whatever that is you heard that's all it is," he tweeted this week, according to BET. "Wasn't raised to be nothing but a grown man. Raised by MEN, god fearing MEN." Those tweets are no longer available on his page.

Kordell filed a petition for divorce on March 22 in Atlanta's Fulton County. The court document said the marriage to Porsha was "irretrievably broken."

He many have hinted that he wanted to work on the marriage since he reportedly posted a picture of the couple happy together on Instagram this week.

Porsha was completely blindsided by the divorce and revealed that she found out about it on Twitter.

"I asked my husband ... had he filed, and just a long story short, I felt very disappointed and let down," she said on April 19. "When I got married, I meant it for life. ... I was heartbroken."
