The hospital was shut down because of Paul's (Richard Burgi) killing spree, but now that he's been caught and arrested, the attempt to get it back up and running is proving to be an insurmountable struggle for Tracy (Jane Elliot) as she tries to bring it back to the community on General Hospital.

While it was closed down, Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Finn (Michael Easton) overheard Lucy (Lynn Herring) as she met with someone who wanted to turn the building into luxury condos, and notified Tracy of what the plan had been. Tracy then found herself kept out of board meetings which would be beneficial to her when it came to trying to save the hospital, and now, as she continues her fight, she will turn to Lucy and blame her for the struggle that's ahead.

"General Hospital is on the chopping block, ans you are the executioner," she says in a preview clip for the Monday, October 17 clip.

Meanwhile, the staffers who's jobs were affected by the closure are beginning to realize they can't be without an income any longer and are starting to seek new opportunities, which will increase the struggle. And for someone like Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), who has to do what's best for her sons, she may need to consider leaving Port Charles, and her relationship with Franco (Roger Howarth) behind in order to find opportunities that allow her to provide for her kids. However, Franco won't allow her to leave town without a fight, and will even try to convince her he has another job opportunity for her that allows her to stay in Port Charles.

"I think that I might have a solution that allows you to stay local," he says in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
