As the upcoming installment of AMC's hit TV show Breaking Bad nears its launch, many fans are hoping that the second half of the fifth and final season will come with a clear-cut resolution for Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

Series creator Vince Gilligan recently spoke about the expectations for the finale episode to The Daily Beast on April 30.

"Anyone anxious that there won't be resolution enough at the end of these eight episodes can rest assured that the story very much reaches resolution ... It will not end in any kind of open-ended sense," he explained.

Gilligan also spoke to Metro on May 2 about the various choices his creative team had to make when composing the rest of Season 5.

"Definitely. It's very difficult but it's been a blessing knowing exactly when Breaking Bad's finale was set for as it's allowed us to work toward a very specific ending for the last 16 episodes in terms of structure and parceling out story moments, plot points, emotions etc," he said.

AMC's Breaking Bad will be launching its second half of Season 5 on Sunday, Aug. 11. Keep checking back for more of the latest details on the show.
