So what exactly is going on behind the scenes at daytime chat show The View?

Raven-Symone announced on The View Thursday that she is leaving the talk show. This marks yet another instance of co-host turnover of late, with Michelle Collins leaving earlier this year and Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez leaving the year before.

"I'm excited and sad, but mostly excited," she said when making the announcement on The View. "I've had such a great time. My experience has been multi-dimensional."

She is set to leave the show before the end of the year.

The actress also announced that she would be starring in a new spinoff of her famous Disney Channel series That's So Raven, with her playing the mother of a child who sees the future this time.

As for The View, the lineup now only includes Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Sara Haines. Goldberg has also been making comments over the past few months about this 20th season likely being her final year with the show.

"I have to do it, baby, because I have to go and grow," Goldberg told Wendy Williams in September. "I got stuff to do. I got movies I need to direct. I got books I got to finish."

Goldberg has been with the show since 2007. "This was great and I love doing it, but it's been awhile and they're in their 20th season," she added. "They did this without me."

It's not clear exactly what might be happening at The View to cause such a massive turnover over the past few years, though it largely began with the exit of co-creator/host Barbara Walters. Since then, the show has tried out many different co-hosts, to varying degrees of effectiveness.
