"Avengers: Infinity War" enlists another Marvel superhero to make an appearance in the film. Dr. Strange will be seen in the next installment of the "Avengers" movie franchise and rumor has it, he will be playing a pivotal role that will shape the future of the alliance of superheroes.

Apart from having a small but important role in "Thor:Ragnarok," Dr. Strange has just been confirmed to play a part in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War." Benedict Cumberbatch disclosed important details as to his character's importance in the movie, Yibada noted.

According to Cumberbatch, Dr. Strange's main responsibility in the movie is to bring the Avengers back together after the rift between Iron Man and Captain America put a strain on the team's morale. The British actor mentioned that his character will mainly fix the relationship of Tony Stark and Steve Rogers after the fallout the two had in "Captain America: Civil War."

By the end of "Civil War," fans saw the Captain leaving the team and his shield but that was not before he and Iron Man engaged in a colossal physical battle. The future of the Avengers after that has become uncertain.

However, with the biggest threat arriving in the third part of the "Avengers" movie series, it is inevitable to merge the superheroes back together. When asked if Dr. Strange will take a side, Cumberbatch revealed that Stephen will not join Team Captain America or Iron Man.

Dr. Strange understands the gravity of the new threat posed by Thanos and the Infinity Stones. Therefore, the superhero knows that adding fire to the hostility between the two Avengers is not exactly productive. With Dr. Strange's broad understanding of the larger picture, he becomes most formidable to spark the Avengers' need to protect the world.

Aside from his appearance in the "Avengers" film, Dr. Strange is also slated to have a role in "Thor: Ragnarok." Speculations say that Stephen will be fixing Thor's hammer.

"Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released in cinemas on May 04, 2018.
