They've starred as romantic leads in three films now, but that might be enough if Emma Stone is telling the truth about a potential restraining order that exists against her compliments of Ryan Gosling.

In an interview with E! News, Stone joked that her perennial co-star took out a restraining order against her to keep her further away from him as they filmed other future projects.

"He has a restraining order against me now," she said. "I'm just going to have to stay like a hundred feet at everything else we do together. No, it's so much fun to work with him [but] I don't know if they'll let us do anything."

She also dished about what it was like to both sing and dance for their newest film, La La Land, which is a musical.

"Singing and dancing at the same time is a real situation," she said. "It was definitely nerve-racking but...but it was galvanizing, you know? You get up there and you just really go for it. If you fail, you fall flat on your face and you learn."

However, while Stone did joke that Gosling no longer wanted her near him (before La La Land the two co-starred in Crazy Stupid Love and Gangster Squad together), the actor has gushed before about his co-star, and said that he loved working with her.

"We made two films together and now three, and so you know it's great to work with people you know," he said at the time. "I think it brings the best out of them because you know one another, and you are able to help each other in a way that you can't if you're strangers."

La La Land opens in theaters nationwide on December 16.
