It appears being parents to two little girls is changing how Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes look at their careers.

According to a new report, the parents of Esmeralda Amada, 2, and Amada Lee, are both turning their backs a bit more on their lives in Hollywood, and in Mendes' case, a career as an actress in general, so they can focus on being good parents to their kids.

OK! Reports that Mendes is focusing on motherhood over starring in any other movies, and Gosling, while not stepping away from his career, is taking steps which allow him to be a more active father and out of the spotlight a little bit more.

According to the magazine's source, the couple doesn't "have any extra help" at home, which is a big part of why Mendes has been turning down roles, and Gosling has been seeking more projects which film in L.A. "so he's able to come home to his girls every night."

"Ryan and Eva are so hands-on with their kids," the insider said. "Eva has sworn off Hollywood."

Mendes herself has previously stated that she wouldn't be seeking out roles actively anymore, and it would "definitely take something really special," to take her away from her home life.

Gosling and Mendes first began dating in 2011 after meeting on the set of the film The Place Beyond The Pines, where they co-starred as a couple. They had reportedly been on and off for a few years, but became officially on again after Mendes became pregnant with their daughter Esmeralda in 2014. The couple kept news of that pregnancy private for seven months, and gave birth in September of that year. The new of their second pregnancy broke earlier this year, just weeks before Mendes gave birth. News that they had welcomed their daughter came through two weeks after the birth.
