She has been staying hidden away at her mother's house unsure of when to finally announce that she is in fact alive and back in town, but Abigail (Marci Miller) will finally decide she's finished hiding and will make herself known to Chad (Billy Flynn) and Thomas once again on Days of Our Lives.

After her escape from the mental hospital, she was presumed dead, but surprised her mother, Jen (Melissa Reeves) and brother, JJ (Casey Moss) with her return, though she's been hesitant to let Chad know she is alive. And after she finally got the courage and spied on him at the memorial he had placed in the park for her, things proved to be more heartbreaking as she overheard him tell their infant son it was time for him to move on, and he removed his wedding ring.

However, after some encouraging words from Dario (Jordi Villasousa), Abigail will become even more determined to make herself known to Chad-though the fact that she waited so long to let him know she was alive could still backfire on her.

Meanwhile, the truth about her is driving a wedge in JJ's relationship with Gabi (Camilla Banus), because she has sensed he's been hiding something, and she now knows it after she overheard a conversation between him and Jennifer where he said he couldn't tell Gabi "about her." Assuming that he is referring to another woman in his life, Gabi will feel hurt and betrayed, and may then seek out Chad to get some revenge. And if Chad gives in and two revisit their brief romantic relationship, it could prove to be the final thing that breaks Abigail's heart for good-and potentially encourages her to stay hidden even longer-if she catches them together.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
