Celebrity couples are the ones that we can't stop following on a daily basis, with every detail we can learn about their lives consuming us, and 2016 was definitely a year devoted to celebrity couples.

While it did seem like a year that in a lot of ways proved love could no longer possibly exist, with major divorces and splits rocking fans, there were a few couples who not only managed to make it through the year, but also showed us that even when it seems like things could be bleak, love does still exist. Here are the 7 couples we loved most in 2016:

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds

These two never cease to amaze, with their love for one another so apparent in everything they do. They're always supportive of one another's careers, they have serious fun with one another, and they welcomed their second daughter together earlier this year.

Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani

Despite seeming like an odd match when they first got together late last year, the country singer and his rocker girlfriend seem more suited for one another than we all initially thought. They've spent the better part of 2016 supporting one another's careers and new albums, and being reidiculously cute about one another in interviews-giving us high hopes that we'll see bigger and better things with them in 2017.

Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green

Despite her filing for divorce last summer, by this Spring, Fox had debuted a baby bump, sparking speculation over who the father was. A few weeks later, the couple announced they had reconciled and were back together, and they welcomed their third son together, Journey River, in August.

Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher

The That 70's Show co-stars were still an adorable couple in 2016, as they prepared for the arrival of their newest addition, a son, Dimitri Portwood, in November.

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth

After initially ending their engagement back in 2013 and spending 2014 and 2015 apart, the two were spotted together back in January. They've since largely stayed out of the public eye but have definitely reconciled and could (hopefully) be on their way back to an even more serious commitment to one another.

Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris

Sigh, this relationship had so much potential. Swift's longest relationship to date came to an end this summer, after more than a year, and things got dramatic soon after, but before the split, Swift and the Scottish DJ/Producer seemed to be a match that was too good to be true with one another. Thankfully, since the split, the tension seems to have thawed a bit more at least.

Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston

It was a brief but intense affair, and we couldn't get enough of Hiddleswift while they were together. The pair jetted all over the globe together, met one another's families, and seemed like they were on the way to something great. Alas, it wasn't meant to be, but there's sure to be some great Hiddleswift inspired songs on Swift's newest album because of it right?
