Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi are not relocating to Australia in an effort to save their marriage.

According to a new report, a “ridiculous” claim has surfaced online from the frequently discredited National Enquirer, which suggested that the talk show host was searching for a home in Australia in a “last-ditch” effort to save her “tattered marriage” to the actress.

The outlet claimed Degeneres and De Rossi had “another knock-down, drag-out spat over having children.” As a source explained, via Gossip Cop, Degeneres had allegedly promised De Rossi that they would have a baby, but when it came down to it, nothing ever happened.

The source went on to reveal that after De Rossi became “fed up” with her wife, DeGeneres was able to calm her down by assuring her that they would travel to Australia in hopes of finding a home for their potential future family.

“Ellen knows how much Portia hates Hollywood and the idea of buying a home in Australia went a long way to smoothing over the trouble,” the source alleged.

In response to the rumor, a source close to DeGeneres assured Gossip Cop that the story regarding her strained marriage and alleged plan to move to Australia was “idiotic and ridiculous.”
