She's realized that the nasty fall which tanked her debut as the host of GC Buzz was orchestrated entirely by Hilary (Mishael Morgan) so she could get her job back, and now, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will decide the New Year's Eve Gala will be the perfect event in which to exact her revenge on The Young and The Restless.

She realized Hilary had moved a cord to get in Mariah's path as she walked in heels, causing her fall on live television, which eventually led to Hilary getting her job back. But now, after Hilary insists on her helping her out as she host's the gala for Jack (Peter Bergmann) and Neil's (Kristoff St. John) foundation, Mariah will realize she has a perfect opportunity not only for revenge, but to expose Hillary for who she really is.

Knowing she is in control of Hilary's speech on the teleprompter, Mariah will edit things so that Hilary will say something she doesn't actually mean to during the event's auction, and Hilary will be completely unaware of what's going on, believing Mariah hasn't figured out what she did to her.

"Who's ready to start this auction?" She asks in a preview clip for the Wednesday, Dec. 28 episode.

"I won't be the one taking a fall tonight," Mariah mumbles to herself as everyone applauds.

As the auction continues, Hilary will keep reading from the teleprompter as if nothing is wrong, because she doesn't believe anything will be. But when she gets to a prize for a trip to a vineyard, she will be stunned when the joke she tells about the prize winds up seeing her admit to what she did to Mariah-and everyone at the benefit will also be in shock.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
