Maroon 5 drench themselves in paint in the artistic new video for their latest single, Love Somebody.

The four-minute music video, which premiered on Tuesday, features Levine whited out in certain places of his body, the rest covered by blue-gray paint. Slowly wiping at the hidden parts, he almost fully reveals himself by the end of the video.

He interacts with an equally half-there/half-not woman, played by actress Gemma Palombo, as they touch each other sensually. The rest of the band performs with their instruments meanwhile, which are also drenched in paint.

The video is reminiscent of Rihanna's metallic body paint in her Umbrella music video. Demi Lovato also dipped her hands in black paint in the new video for her single Heart Attack.

In the chorus the 34-year old lead singer croons: "I really wanna love somebody / I really wanna dance the night away / I know we're only halfway here / but you take me all the way / you take me all the way."

Love Somebody is the fourth single off Maroon 5's latest album Overexposed, following in the footsteps of Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits Payphone, One More Night, and Daylight. The song continues the same dance-pop model of the band's previous singles.

The band debuted Love Somebody on Monday night's episode of The Voice, on which Levine is a coach.  During their television performance the band wore matching white outfits with blue video effects projecting upon them.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the song is in the No. 27 spot on the iTunes singles chart. The song has not yet charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

The band will be touring this summer in the Honda Civic Tour featuring Maroon 5 from Aug. 1-Oct. 6.
