Let's face it, not every celebrity can adapt their success in their particular field to the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars.

Hundreds of celebrities have competed on Dancing With the Stars over the years, many of them proving themselves to be very adaptable to ballroom dancing. Celebs like Drew Lachey, Donny Osmond, Bindi Irwin, Nicole Scherzinger and Jennifer Grey have won the show despite tough competition from fellow stars.

But then there are celebrities who just never found their footing. Let's take a look back on the worst Dancing With the Stars contestants in the show's 23-season history.

Master P

Master P's son, Romeo, was originally supposed to compete in season 2 of Dancing With the Stars but suffered an injury before the season. So Master P stepped in in his place, and it was clear from the start that his heart wasn't in it. While he survived three eliminations, he and partner Ashly DelGrosso received the worst score in DWTS history in Week 4: a dismal 8 out of 30.

Cloris Leachman

Cloris Leachman is perhaps the prime example of a DWTS contestant overstaying their welcome. Despite her immense acting and comedic talent, Leachman simply wasn't good on the dance floor, frequently receiving the worst scores every week. Her indomitable spirit likely helped her survive all the way to seventh place but it became problematic when she began outlasting clearly better dancers.

Steve Wozniak

Steve Wozniak was another acclaimed star who just couldn't hack it in the ballroom. He received the worst scores of the night in three of his four weeks on the show, ending with a very low 12 out of 30 - which also happened to be an uptick from the 10 he received the week before.

Kate Gosselin

Kate Gosselin had a very difficult experience on Dancing With the Stars' 10th season, with her now infamous paso doble in Week 3 serving as primary evidence. While the reality star wanted to prove herself on the dance floor, the results were less than impressive, and she was the fourth contestant eliminated.

Geraldo Rivera

After just one week, Dancing With the Stars viewers decided they had already seen enough of Geraldo Rivera. The newscaster received a measly 13 out of 30 from the judges in season 22 and it seems that fans were not even entertained by the trainwreck-y aspects of his dancing.

Mischa Barton

While younger celebrities have often excelled more than older stars on DWTS, such was not the case for 30-year-old Mischa Barton. The O.C. star competed on season 22 as well and showed that she wasn't much better than Rivera and didn't want to be there, becoming the second contestant eliminated. She has since spoken about how she hated the experience.

Rick Perry

Rick Perry was on the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars, season 23. Fresh off the Republican primary, Perry's participation in DWTS was mocked in blogs and in the media, and he didn't prove the haters wrong. Much like the 2016 Republican primary, Perry was out very early in the season, finishing in 12th place.

Lolo Jones

Olympic athletes have a history of doing extremely well on Dancing With the Stars, but Lolo Jones was the rare exception. The track and field star's excellence simply did not translate on DWTS as she stumbled through her first (and only) dance, in which she clearly lost track of what she was even doing.

Martina Navratilova

Continuing with the athlete discussion, the show had tennis great Martina Navratilova in season 14. Much like Jones, though, her dancing with partner Tony Dovolani with stiff and awkward and fans simply didn't take to her. She was eliminated after the first week of competition.

Kim Kardashian

Finally we have infamous Kim Kardashian. Some may not remember that Kardashian competed in the show back in season 7, but she didn't last very long. The reality star had a certain lack of charisma and presence needed in the ballroom and while she received slightly higher scores than others on this list, she was the third celebrity eliminated from the season.
