CBS will add one more comedy, Bad Teacher to the previously announced lineup for next season.

The single camera program is based off the 2011 film of the same name. Bad Teacher was announced last fall, according to Coming Soon, but has yet to bear a pilot. However, Bad Teacher will not see air time until mid-season, reports TV Line https://tvline.com/2013/05/22/cbs-new-series-fall-2013-bad-teacher/.

The feature film stared Cameron Diaz as the title character while also featuring Jason Segal and Justin Timberlake. It appears the television show adaptation will follow close to the same plot.

Bad Teacher will revolve around the main character, played by Ari Graynor of Fringe, who, while often behaving in an inappropriate and brash manner, becomes a teacher in order to find a new mate after divorcing her wealthy husband, according to Coming Soon.

Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupinsky, who wrote the original film, are on board as executive producers along with Hilary Winston, Sam Hansen, and Jimmy Miller. Hilary Winston will write the series, reports Deadline.

Also staring in the new program will be Sara Gilbert of The Talk, David Alan Grier (Peeples), Ryan Hansen (Burning Love), the young Sara Rodier (Happy Endings), and Kristin Davis (Sex and the City).
